Swizzels x Day Out With The Kids: Sweetest Day Challenge
1. The Promoter
The promoter of this competition (the "Promoter") is Day Out With The Kids Ltd, with its registered office in the United Kingdom, in partnership with Swizzels Matlow Ltd ("Swizzels"). Swizzels is not the data controller for entries and is not responsible for the running of this competition. Any queries should be sent to the Promoter at hello@dayoutwiththekids.co.uk.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man) aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
2.2 Entries on behalf of, or featuring, anyone under 18 must be submitted by their parent or legal guardian, or by an adult with the express written permission of the child's parent or legal guardian.
2.3 Employees, contractors and agents of the Promoter, Swizzels, their group companies and any party connected with the operation of this competition, together with members of their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
2.4 By entering, you confirm you meet the eligibility criteria. The Promoter may require proof of eligibility before any prize is awarded and may disqualify any entry that does not meet these terms.
3. Competition period
3.1 The competition opens on the date of publication and closes at 21:00 (9pm) UK time on Monday 29 June 2026 (the "Closing Date").
3.2 Entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
4. How to enter
4.1 To enter, create a short video (a "Sweet Video") featuring one or more Swizzels products. The video can take any creative form, including songs, magic tricks, jokes, poems, baking, art, dancing or family eating challenges.
4.2 Submit your Sweet Video using the entry form at /swizzels-sweetest-day, providing a valid first name, last name and email address.
4.3 Videos must be MP4, MOV or M4V format, no larger than 250MB, and must be under 60 seconds in length. Entries longer than 60 seconds will be disqualified.
4.4 One bonus entry is available per entrant if you also share your Sweet Video on a public social media account and tag both @dayoutwiththekids and @swizzelssweets in the post or story.
4.5 Maximum of two entries per person (one standard plus one bonus social entry). Bulk, automated or third-party entries will be disqualified.
4.6 No purchase is necessary. Internet access and a device capable of recording and uploading video are required. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs incurred by entrants.
5. Content requirements
5.1 Your Sweet Video must be your own original work and must not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights of any third party.
5.2 Your Sweet Video must not contain anything that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, harmful to minors or otherwise inappropriate. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject or remove any entry that does not meet these standards.
5.3 If your Sweet Video features any identifiable individual (including children), you confirm that you have obtained the consent of that individual (or their parent or legal guardian if under 18) to appear in the video and for the video to be used as set out in these terms.
5.4 Music, images or other third-party material used in your video must be properly licensed or used with permission. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any unlicensed material included in an entry.
6. Rights and use of entries
6.1 You retain ownership of any copyright in your Sweet Video.
6.2 By entering, you grant the Promoter and Swizzels a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use, edit, adapt, reproduce, publish, broadcast and display your Sweet Video (in whole or in part), together with your first name, county and social handle, for purposes connected with this competition and the reasonable promotion of the Promoter and Swizzels across any media now known or later developed.
6.3 You waive any moral rights in your Sweet Video to the extent permitted by law.
6.4 You agree that no additional payment will be due in respect of any such use.
7. Judging and winner selection
7.1 All valid entries received before the Closing Date will be reviewed by a panel including representatives of the Promoter and Swizzels.
7.2 Judging will be based on creativity, originality, family appeal and how well the entry features Swizzels products. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7.3 One winner will be selected within 14 days of the Closing Date.
8. Prize
8.1 The prize comprises: (a) one Annual Day Out With The Kids VIP Pass for one family (up to two adults and four children residing at the same address), valid for 12 months from the date of issue; and (b) one Swizzels Mega Bundle featuring a selection of Swizzels products, with a retail value of approximately £100.
8.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is offered, except where the Promoter, in its sole discretion, decides to provide an alternative of equal or greater value due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
8.3 The VIP Pass is subject to the standard Day Out With The Kids VIP Pass terms in force from time to time, including blackout dates and venue availability.
8.4 The Swizzels Mega Bundle will be dispatched to a UK address only. The Promoter is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit once dispatched by tracked courier.
9. Notification of winner
9.1 The winner will be notified by email using the address provided at entry within 14 days of the Closing Date.
9.2 The winner must respond within 14 days of notification to claim the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond, or is unable to comply with these terms, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries.
9.3 The winner's first name and county will be made available to other entrants on request, by emailing the Promoter, for a period of 90 days after the Closing Date.
10. Data protection
Personal data provided by entrants will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy for this competition. By entering, you confirm that you have read and understood that policy.
11. Liability
11.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, the Promoter is not responsible for any technical failure, lost, late, incomplete, corrupted or misdirected entries, or for any loss or damage suffered as a result of entering this competition or accepting any prize.
12. General
12.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the competition at any time if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
12.2 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it reasonably believes has breached these terms or engaged in fraudulent, dishonest or unsporting behaviour.
12.3 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or any other social media platform.
12.4 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with them.
